James Bond Island, Thailand

As I wrote in my last blog, for most travelers visiting southern Thailand two places are on top of their bucket list: "THE Beach" and James Bond Island.
James Bond Island is a needle rock featured in the old James Bond movie Goldfinger. Again, there are a lot of tour operators offering packages at Phuket and of course, everything said in the last blog applies here as well.
When we reached the island, it was not as crowded as "THE Beach", but maybe this was just lucky timing. There is a special fee you have to pay when you arrive with a long tail, but if you come with the speed boat it is included in the package.
If you ask me which trip, I liked more, I would name this one, mainly because I liked the landscape better. On the other hand: If you do the trip mainly for snorkeling, the first one had much better places to offer.
