Supremo Tribunal Federal - Brasilia

Last month I had the chance to spend a Sunday exploring the city centre of Brasilia. The city was developed and constructed from scratch in the middle of nowhere end of the 50th. Oscar Niemeyer, Brazilia's most popular and famous architect, was one of the key drivers and he also constructed some of the most iconic buildings. Especially in the city centre where a lot of administrative buildings are located, you can find quite some of them. Somehow it's like a travel back in time - only modern cars are disturbing the picture.
Often you can hear how complicated it is to walk around because the city was designed to drive. But the city centre is different: You still have huge streets, but you also have a park in between and decent footpaths are available too.
The picture above is of one of Niemeyer's buildings: The Supremo Tribunal Federal - the High Court of Brazil. It's situated on the western end of the main axis at the Praca dos Tres Poderes, where you also can find the Presidential Office and the National Congress. With its strict symmetry, it offers great opportunities for Photographers.
