As mentioned in the essay about Cueva de los Verdes the local artist Cesar Manrique created most man-made tourist spots on Lanzarote. You can find his sculptures and buildings scattered all over the island. If you are interested in art or architecture you definitely have to visit the Cesar Manrique Foundation at his former home.
But aside from sculptures and buildings Cesar Manrique also created a beautiful cactus garden near the village of Guatiza. On an area of 5000 square meters, you can find more than 1400 different species from all over the world. The chance that at least some of them are in bloom is not so bad.
