Stallhof Dresden

Stallhof - Dresden - Germany

First published in 2016

The Stallhof is part of the Dresden Castle (Residenzschloss in German). It was completed in 1591 and served as a venue for courtly tournaments. This part is called “Langer Gang” and it was the place from where the spectators watched the horsemen.

On the outside of this building, you can find the famous Fuerstenzug (Procession of Princes), a 102 meters long mural made of 25,000 tiles. The small road is always crowded, while very few people came along to see this place.

Sometimes developing a photo in an unusual way brings interesting results. In the “good old days” of film, techniques like cross-processing have been used frequently by those who knew how to handle it. Nowadays chemistry has been replaced by Lightroom or Photoshop and instead of a stop bath, you have to use the tone curve.
