Meeting of Styles Wiesbaden
Meeting of Styles [↗] is a non-profit organization that promotes graffiti art around the world. Since 1997 they organized more than 400 events from Brazil to Taipei or Greece. Since they have their roots in Wiesbaden, it is not surprising that they regularly organize events here as well. The next one will take place 14th to 18th of June 2023 [↗].
The last meetings here happened in Mainz-Kastel. Don’t be confused by the name, it is a district of Wiesbaden and is also on the right side of the River Rhine. If you’re interested in why it’s called Mainz and not Wiesbaden, you can find the details here [↗].
Near the Theodor Heuss Bridge between Mainz and Wiesbaden, there are numerous remains of the former meetings. They are in surprisingly good condition. There are some pillars and other places where sprayers can put their tags, and perhaps that is why larger images remain largely untouched.
There is parking on site (search for Ankertorstraße in 55252 Wiesbaden), but those are usually occupied, so it's a good idea to come by public transport. There are bus stops right above and Kastel train station is just a few meters away.
The area is pretty compact, but be sure to go through the underpass to the riverbank and the skate park on the right, where you'll find more paintings.
