Winter wonderland 2024/25
This week we are taking a short break from the Caucasus travel report.
Winter has been very different in the various parts of Germany so far. In the area of the Danube where I live, it was mainly gray. Especially at the end of last year, there was hardly any sun at all. Instead, it was just cold and foggy.
After a few days, I took the opportunity to head to a nearby forest early in the morning. Of course, I couldn't walk past my favorite local trees without taking some photos.
I have already shown pictures here that I took during heavy snowfall. But these versions have something too.
In the forest itself, I focused on the details. If you take a closer look, you can find one or two leaves that add a bit of color to the uniform grey. The challenge is to find the ones that you can photograph against a background that isn't too distracting.
On the way back, I also found an apple tree ...
