Game reserve Laichingen
You can find this small but nice game reserve on the outskirts of Laichingen [↗] near Ulm.
There are only red deer and wild boars, but in return, the access is free of charge. On the way to the enclosures is a larger playground, which certainly contributes to the fact that the area is very popular with families. Especially on weekends, it can be crowded and the parking lot is not enough.
The enclosures are relatively large and offer the animals plenty of run. A long lens is therefore helpful. On the other hand, the animals are used to people and may also be fed (but please note the posted information on this). Then also mobile phone photographers will get their pictures. In non-Corona times there is also a small hut where food is sold.
It is especially nice when the squeakers dig under the fences and go between the visitors. What in the wild sets the mother animals in alarm, is here completely normal. There is even a notice that you should not make an emergency call 🌝.
