“Have you eaten?“ - China 2014

Along with the better known „ni hauo“ „ni chi fan le ma?“ is one of the common greetings in China. While the first one simply means “hello”, the second one is subtle and stands for “Have you eaten?”. It shows the importance of a good meal in Chinese culture. Accordingly, an extensive lunch or dinner was part of our daily schedule 🌝 . 

So this year it’s China. The country was on our bucket list for quite some time now and although Jürgen is visiting the country quite frequently he has seen only a very small part. As most interesting places are outside the city limits and reaching them is time-consuming and complicated without speaking Chinese, we decided to join a tour group. The German-Chinese tour operator China-Tours offers a trip that covers most of our want-to-see-places. So together with seven other travelers, we entered the Air China flight to Beijing on October 10th …
