Xiqu Center is one of the latest complements to the Hong Kong skyline - opened only in 2019. Xiqu stands for the traditional Chinese Opera and so it is not surprising that the building hosts theatres and studios dedicated to this topic.

Xiqu Center is located at 88 Austin Rd. West in Tsim Sha Tsui. This is not a place where you come along by chance, although you might have driven by when you go to Kowloon Station to catch the airport train. Saying that it's still easy to access and just a 15-minute walk from the star ferry piers.
Officially it's open from 10 am to 10:30 pm, but you should be able to see most of the structure 24/7.

The unique architecture makes it a must-see for everyone who is interested in city photography. The only problem is that they don't like tripods - at least inside. I didn't have an issue when I was outside the building. There are no postings, but security popped up quite soon when I started to take pictures inside. Not many explanations except "management don't want it". Unfortunately, that's becoming a habit in quite some places around the world nowadays.
