Moorish Spring - Andalusia 2020
Andalusia was on our wish list for quite a while, but somehow it never fit.
At the end of last year, it was clear that Jürgen will take some vacation days into the new year and if possible, he should have spent them until March. So why not to Andalusia?
The end of February / beginning of March is a little earlier than recommended but has a lot of advantages. The biggest one is for sure that the tourist masses are not there yet. Of course, you are not alone, and you have to queue-up, for example at the Royal Palace in Sevilla. But this is nothing compared with what you will experience in the following months.
Speaking of flowering: The only disadvantage is that the trees and bushes need a few more weeks to look really beautiful.
We were particularly lucky with COVID-19. When we left, there were only a few isolated cases in Europe, especially in Veneto. When we came back, we had just one week before the shutters went down all over Europe.
